Time to ditch the maths and chemistry textbooks because there's a different book you are going to need to make room in your bag for this autumn.

You got it - 5 Seconds of Summer's debut book is finally on its way and to celebrate the October release of Hey, Let's Make A Band, the lads have gone and shared the official cover to start getting you all excited.

TA-DAH:

It might only be the cover, but frankly it's got everything we want from a book. By which we mean tongues out, bandanas on and a handy wipeproof surface that isn't going to be ruined if we happen to decide to lick it. Not that we are planning to (we defs are).

Also lols for the 'Easy reading level one.'

The lads penned the book deal with One Direction's publishersback in April and while it apparently isn't going to be either a naked picture book or a collection of the smuttiest 5SOS fan fics on the interweb, it does sound pretty awesome as the lads will be sharing loads of personal bits and bobs for the very first time.

 

Here's what they have to say about the book:

This book is pretty much our official story so far. It really does only seem like last week we played our first gig in at the Annandale hotel in Sydney. Since then we’ve been given the opportunity to turn into the people and musicians we wanted to be.

The people who gave us the opportunity were the fans. So this book is like a thank you. We want everyone to know the story of how four western Sydney teenagers picked up their instruments and dreamt of being one of the biggest bands in the world. There’s also some embarrassing photos of us dicking around and some facts that some of us didn’t even know. So we hope you enjoy it!
